Vision & Mission

The library is keen to provide the highest level of information services (electronic and paper) to suit the needs of the beneficiaries of students and faculty members and the university’s vision to contribute to building society through the pursuit of the highest degrees of science, research and knowledge.

Objectives:

  • Choosing the latest sources of information in all its forms to suit all the needs of the beneficiaries of students and faculty members.
  • Organizing the scientific departments of the library according to agreed standards to facilitate access to all its sources.
  • Encouraging students to take advantage of the optimal use of the library informational services.
  • Developing the reading and reading skills of university students through developing their general skills and assisting the academic advisor.

About Merritt University Library :

Merit University Library was established in 2020 and is considered an effective part in the educational system and provides an easier way for its recipients to obtain knowledge in its various forms, whether it is books, films or media.
Some services such as borrowing service, automatic search service in information rules and systems, provisioning services and indexing services.

The university library is divided into two main parts:

Department of paper library:

It includes a number of references, books and information sources for the Bushra College of Medicine and the College of Physical Therapy that benefit many students and faculty members.

Department of Digital Library :

The digital library includes a number of electronic databases of information from various disciplines, which include books, articles, research and academic journals available to students and faculty members through the library’s electronic site on the Merritt University page.

The library currently subscribes to a number of information bases that cover all the topics of the library through a website through which the student can access the information sources in the library and get acquainted with the library’s holdings and through it the borrowing is done electronically through the university’s system.

Borrowing service:

All university students, faculty members at the university, and everyone who hold a Merit University card are entitled to borrow books when presenting the card, provided that it is valid.
All books in the library are loaned out, with the exception of dictionaries, maps, knowledge circles, periodicals, and textbooks.

Book borrowing time:

Book loss fee:

The librarian must be notified directly in case of loss of any book. The following measures are taken:
1- The beneficiary must compensate the library with a copy of the same book.
2. In the event that the beneficiary is unable to compensate the library with the same book, he will actually pay the value of the book to replace it.

Destruction of books and references :

The books and references in the library are the property of Merritt University, and for any damage or tearing of the pages of the books, the necessary measures are taken against it by the competent authorities at the university.
